After many months of refining Fire3d we're looking for people and organisations to help us add the final touches.

We've ironed out as many bugs as we can and now we really need your help to find any that are still hiding in the software. We've hopefully got them all but sometimes there's a sneaky one or two we've missed. That's where you come in!

What's a beta tester?

Beta testers are real users who like to use software before anybody else. Often called early adopters these people like new technology and aren't afraid of trying new products.

Think of beta testing as trying out a new doughnut recipe. Does it need a bit more jam or a bit less? Does it need to be a bit bigger or a bit smaller? All this information helps us bake the perfect product for you.

Software is the same, offering your help to create the perfect product for you helps us serve you better. We really do love your no holes barred honest feedback on what we've done well and what we need to do better!

What you can expect

  • There may be bugs. It's possible there may be some bugs in the software. If you do find any we squash them very quickly, usually the same day. It's important to remember you're trying something not publicly available and there may be parts of the experiance not 100% perfect.
  • We need your feedback. If you have any suggestions or you find a bug we want to know. We want you to be 100% honest with us about what's working and what isn't.

Will I be a good beta tester?

A good beta tester is understanding and patient. Any new software may contain glitches and require some small improvements. We log every bug ticket and try to fix them as soon as possible.

We're looking for designers, surveyors & estimators who will offer clear information on bugs and improvements and will be responsive to messages. This helps us fix problems quickly.

Take notes and screen shots or screen recodings of anything that goes wrong so we can easily see how to fix it.

If I do find a bug what should I do?

  1. What device are you using? i.e. PC, Macbook Pro, iPad etc.
  2. What browser are you using? i.e. Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Safari etc.
  3. What steps did you take to find the bug? Make a note of what you did to get the bug? This doesn't need to be long, just enough information for us to repeat it.
  4. Any media? Any attachments such as screenshots or screencasts or photos will really help.
  5. Email us Send an email containing 1 - 4 above to admin@fire3ddesign.com and we will be in touch ASAP.
